Braces & Clear Aligners in Mohali & Chandigarh

Straighten crooked, crowded or gapped teeth with metal or ceramic braces or near-invisible clear aligners, for children, teenagers and adults.

Braces or aligners?

Braces are small brackets bonded to the teeth and joined by a wire that is adjusted at each visit. Metal braces are the most economical; ceramic braces are tooth-coloured and less visible.

Clear aligners are a series of thin, removable trays, each moving the teeth a little. They are nearly invisible and come out for eating and brushing. We tell you honestly whether aligners or braces suit your teeth better.

Who is it for?

  • Crooked or crowded teeth, and gaps between teeth
  • Overbite, underbite, crossbite or teeth that don’t meet properly
  • Children from around 7–8 years, when early treatment can guide jaw growth
  • Adults of any age, as long as the gums and bone are healthy

How the treatment works

  1. Assessment: an examination, photos and X-rays.
  2. Plan: we explain the options, how long each would take and the cost.
  3. Fitting: braces are bonded in one visit, or you receive your first aligners.
  4. Check-ups: regular visits, usually every 4–8 weeks, to adjust or check progress.
  5. Retainers: once the teeth are straight, a retainer keeps them in place.

Living with braces or aligners

With braces, avoid hard and sticky foods and clean carefully around the brackets. Aligners work only when worn about 20–22 hours a day. Wearing your retainer as advised after treatment is what keeps the result.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Am I too old for braces?

No. Teeth can be moved at any age as long as the gums and bone are healthy. Many orthodontic patients are adults.

How long does treatment take?

Often 12 to 24 months, depending on how much the teeth need to move. We give you an estimate after the assessment.

Do braces hurt?

You may feel pressure and mild soreness for a few days after fitting and after each adjustment. It settles quickly.

When should my child have an orthodontic check-up?

Around 7–8 years of age. Simple appliances at this stage can guide jaw growth and correct habits, often making later treatment shorter.
